Charities and GuideStar UK TM Seminars and Courses charityinformation.net researches and analyses on-line charity information, looking at what data is held, where it is held and how it it held, in essence identifying the Charity Information Landscape TM. One of the key ways to seek out charity information is through the World Wide Web and more precisely through the charity-specific databases. This an ever-changing and growing area, in which the original register of charities, held by the Charity Commission for England and Wales, is now rivalled by organisations such as GuideStar UK and Caritasdata. The context of our seminars in this area are policy background areas such as compliance, accountability and transparency and papers such as "Private Action, Public Benefit" (2002) and the Charities' Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP) 2005. The practicalities are: what is the information available, how can it add value to an organisation, and in particular how can GuideStar UK best be utilised, including details on how to make the most an an organisation's listing. Seminar registration is £99. Click here for availability. Charity Information Landscape TM Seminars
